DETAILS
The profile of a tiny gold ram's head inside an incuse square sits at the centre of this beautifully intricate ring. Set within a fine hammered band, pavé set with twelve brilliant-cut blue sapphires along its shoulders.
Inspired by the Greek myth of Chrysomallus, a flying golden-fleeced ram.
He was sent by the goddess Nephele to save her children when they were about to be sacrificed to the gods. After rescuing the two children, he instructed them to sacrifice him in their place and lay his fleece in the grove of Ares. Chrysomallos was afterwards placed amongst the stars as the constellation Aries, and his shining fleece became the quest of Jason and the Argonauts.
The epitome of rebirth and new beginnings, the spiral of a ram's horns are also an ancient symbol of eternity.
0.24ct natural sapphires set in solid 18k yellow gold.
